You are probably well alert to the properties and benefits of Wicker as a material for manufacturing storage units. Some of which are generally it's timeless elegance, it's eco-friendliness, its durability, its airflow and its relatively light weight.

More substantial pieces which include large multi-drawer cabinets or benches will most likely have a wooden condition into which wicker hampers are fitted as storage. Different finishes are also available, different shades of natural and as well painted. White being a well known choice for a colored finish.

Okay so much for the regular units, what regarding the more unusual wicker self storage?

Well an example on the unit that may push the boundary is a Radiator Cat Bed. That phrase still tends to make me smile whenever I come across it. Originally I thought it was the outcome of some strange word connection game but no its an actual product for 'storing' some sort of sleeping cat. The bed is hung off the top of a radiator making it suspended off the ground and benefits from the warmth of this radiator. I do wonder though when there is a risk that you need to keep the room at cat temperature, I guess we should instead ask a wicker radiator pet bed owner.

Wicker Cycle Basket is another borderline storage unit, although doesn't carrying something back from the shops class as very short term storage? Conjuring up thoughts of a pretty girl in some sort of post war English village on the sunny day. Wearing a flowing dress and riding a past fashioned bicycle with a wicker bicycle basket over the front wheel. Cycling on the village shop to collect the periods provisions. Well retro chic is alive and well and cycle baskets are generally surprisingly popular today. Modern baskets have the convenience of being quick release so that they can be used as a hand basket additionally.

Wicker Planters and Wicker Hanging Baskets provide seasonal together with stylish storage for summer bedding plants or vegetables.

Wicker Stair Basket, this strikes me as an odd thing. Typically an oval based basket that is shaped to sit for a stair and hang down in the riser. Marketed as ways to keep the stairs disorder free. Surely the method to keep the stairs clutter free may be to not have a basket about them?
